What should I do with my truck?

I have an 04 Ford F150 Lariat Supercrew 5.4L V8 Fully Loaded with about 45,000 miles on it. Its a sweet truck but it cost me over $100 to full up my tank. I got it appraised at a local dealer hear in Key West Florida and they offered me 13,000 which sounds like a complete rip off to me. I wouldnt even make my money in gas back if I did that and switched to a car. Should I try and trade the truck now before the value gets even lower with the gas prices going up? Or do I just suck up the fuel costs?

  1. Gas guzzlers are not on demand, hence the low price.

    Keep it, drive it.

Cars depreciate, that's life -- deal with it.

Pay for the gas, you already paid for the truck.

  2. If I was you i would totally keep that rig. I love trucks. You can do a h**l of a lot more stuff with a decent truck than you could do with a car.

But What are your needs regarding transportation and work? Do you haul/pull/move things with your truck often? Do you commute far? Do you love the noise and power of a 5.4L V8 over a 2.4L 4 banger...?

I own a Ford Truck. I love them and I will endure the pain of losing 5 or 6 miles a gallon over the pain of driving a car. Just keep your rig in good shape and it will get decent gas mileage.

  3. Get rid off it and get a vehicle with

    normal fuel consumption.

Why throw good money after bad !

  4. i drive 100 mille to work every day
