I'm a camp counselor and have been paid for two seasons. Since I can't drive yet I saved my money.

I'm starting to think about what to spend the money on, and as of now I have it narrowed down to three options, one of which was provided by my father.

1) (Dad's suggestion) Save the money to go to Florida over spring break in junior year of college. (At this point in time this does not interest me at all.)

2) Spend the money on fencing lessons/the gas to get to them. (I don't think this money will last very long given this use.)

3) Spend the money on a Rosetta Stone language course for either Japanese or Chinese. (The course sounds promising on TV, but according to you lovely Y!A users, it doesn't work well.)

So, what do you think I should do? I have $500 saved up from two seasons.

  1. look for the rosetta stone course on ebay.

used, of course. let the rest of the money go into a CD.

  2. Why not use it to furnish your dorm room at college so your parents don"t have to.  Or save it to buy a car when you are able to afford the insurance.  Buy your own laptop. Or buy an I-pod video and download the foreign language courses from I-tunes

  3. you could buy rosetta stone on amazon for cheap and then do fencing too. :)
