What should I do with this pool?

OK... I own a property in Arizona. More specifically Pima county. It has a pool that is around 35,000 gallons that the pump quit working. The pool is at the point that it has turned black and needs acid washed and a new pump and filter system. Right now the county is going around looking for abandoned pools because of the west nile virus and I can't afford to do all of the repairs yet. What is the potential of the plaster cracking if I just drain the pool? Is there a way that I can prevent it from cracking? If it does crack, how much more is it going to cost to repair? Since the pump is not working, what is the best way to drain it?

  1. Don't drain it just cover it up. If you want to drain it just buy a sub pump there about 100 bucks. Good luck
