What should I eat after I break my fast (healthy)?

I always eat healthily, like all year long. Fruits, vegetables, organic, and I'm a vegetarian. :) Well I'm fasting and I've been wondering if it's healthy for me to go on just those foods. In the mornings, I just drink water, I get nauseous if I eat anything, lol. Oh, I'm also a teenager, 15, so all that eat food thats nutritious and helps you grow stuff applies.

Thanks :)

  1. 15 is not the time to think what to eat. fill in with what ever you find tasty.

    Iftar: dry fruits- dates,fig,apricot,raisin etc.

            lentil/tomato soup

    curd,butter milk

    after an hour; Chappati,khubz,roti,paratha,

    rice

    (curd,lemon,tomato,pulao,

    fried,biryani.etc.)

    curries/veg salad

    Morning: dates,dry fruits,nuts

After or before meals or at intervals enough water, prevent dehydration if you are in heavy summer.

  2. There is an Arab salad pronounced "Fatoosh" It is a GREAT and nutritious salad. Dates are usually the most common food item in Ramadan, stick to those. Make sure you eat well...knowing that you're a vegetarian. May the peace and blessing come to you from Allah. Good luck this Ramadan.

  3. dates - most nutrition in them

  4. I also eat healthy foods.  I will break my fast today with prunes and water, I haven't bought the traditional dates yet.  Then fresh vegetable salad with dressing. You can also have a fresh fruit shake or fresh fruit salad.   I'll pray magreb and have some oats soup.  You need to have a balanced meal - have some fresh almonds and walnuts!  Take a multivitamin everyday.

  5. You can eat any good food. Date is best.

BTW, how come you as a muslim a vegetarian?
