  1. Hey there don't worry orientation is easy. I'm from australia, QLD and all I was entitled to do was:

-Watch a movie [explaining about the place, environment, customers, food etc]

-Answer questions [Just about the movie, so stay focused]

The orientation itself doesn't go for very long just remember to where closed in shoes [as its good going through the kitchen as the floor is quite slippery] and wear appropriate clothing.

When you get the job your trained and shown around to get to know the place =]

  2. Loads of customers served greasy food. BE to work on time.

  3. stay busy even when theres nothing to do????? Busy, Busy, Busy

  4. lots of customers... grease and food

  5. bad, oily, greasy

  6. I worked for McDonald's for over 2 yrs and I learned a lot of things when I was there.   One thing is, if you are going to work there, treat it as any other job...meaning, be on time, work hard, and be efficient.   Don't ever allow yourself to get fired from any job, especially McDonald's(that's just sad).   Also, if you want to get any kind of leeways  or special treatment, don't be a kiss a*s, get to know who you are working with and read them (get to know their character traits and work ethics) and NEVER let ANYONE(employees) punk you at McDonald's, if you do let them get to you and punk you then you will not be totally respected and you will hate it and possibly become a push over.   You will definitely have some people there that will be cool and definitely will help you out in anything you need.   I don't mean to be so straight forward, but I don't want to totally sugar coat everything.   The perks are, if you get in with the right people there, then food will become free and your orders will be better than most and people will work with you faster and more efficiently.   Oh, and MOST IMPORTANTLY!!! Get to know your COOKS!!  They are the real ones in charge...that is where I started, if you are not good with the cooks, you will get bad food and service, not to mention bad attitudes and bad looks.   The crew I worked with were great, but I had a couple friends that worked with me too so that helped, but we ran that place with total superiority meaning we were the SH**!  We hustled that place, had the best drive thru times, best food, and best service.   So if you're gonna work there, then have fun cuz it's not gonna be your career job, so don't take it too seriously, but when you work do your best and set goals to be the best and people will recognize you, if your gonna be there why not be there with an attitude of being better than anyone.    Remember that just because someone might be better than you at a certain job, doesn't mean that they are better than YOU.   Key things for you:

Get to know your surroundings and people you work with

Get to know your managers and higher ups(they will help you)

Learn everything to its fullest, even if it's lame

Remember to have a good attitude and smile when customers are around, because they do notice you(especially regulars)

Work hard and be on time

Set goals to be ahead of the game and everyone else

And most importantly for God's sake...

...Have fun, it's not going to be a career job so make some new friends and don't let a job like McDonald's EVER get you down!

  7. there is a lot of grease.  so you will get grease stains probably.  you have to be quick so you get everyting ready for a customer right away because there isnt a lot of time from the drive-thru order station to the 1st window to the 2nd window.  it may be fun for you, but idk.  HAVE FUN!!!

  8. Oily, greasy, and hot.

  9. Honestly, you probably won't like working with/around food. Not many people do.

You'll hopefully be on register mostly though..

expect: rude customers, being frustrated often, rushes (where lots of people come in at once), and LOTS of cleaning

  10. You should expect a couple of new things, acne, cholesterol increase.  In fact, you'll be able to feel your arteries slamming shut just from breathing in all the grease in the air.

  11. Expect to work in a fast paced environment, getting greasy, and expect that since you're new, you're going to have that one person trying to boss you around, even though they're on fries lol. It always happens.
