  1. well basic is just like any other basic. Im not in trans Im infantry but I would imagine when you're job title is transportaion, that involves just that. Driving. whenever we are training all they have to do is drive us around and then wait to pick us up again. The people I've talked to say its pretty easy stuff, and for some reason there are a lot of good looking women in transportation so thats a bonus. lol

  2. Dude what the heck is going on here? You've asked the same questions repeatedly, your shipping date keeps changing, etc...  You mention going Commissioned, but you are enlisting as 88M; did you score rock bottom on the ASVAB or something?  I'd hope that as a future Officer that you would have a little more education and a little less battery charges.

  3. After Basic Combat Training you will learn all about the vehicles the Army uses to transport everything from bullets to beans to Soldiers and gear. When I say learn about them I mean you will know them inside and out, you will conduct Preventive maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) on them and you will learn how to drive them. You will drive them on paved roads, dirt roads and cross country. Once you are proficient at maintaining and operating the vehicles, you will learn lear convoy operations. Small Convoys, Large Convoys, in lines and diamond formations, you will be a Convoy Warrior.

88M is no joke of an MOS, Truckies see a lot of combat in Iraq, but they are also a vital part of the Army everywhere.

    Thank you for serving.
