take it from someone who has been there at least eight times (i'm  13).  :-) it's very industrial. most of the people you will find (if you are staying in central London) are working citizens. the city is very clean and everyone is super nice. it's has to be my favorite place i've ever traveled to. i always leave wanting more. it also depends on whether you're going on business purposes or for tourism. leave a post stating what you're planning on doing there and i will give you more info

Make sure you have a lot of cash.  Things are quite expensive there.  

It has an extensive subway and bus system so getting around won't be a problem.

London offers plenty of museums and wonderful views.

Overall, it is worth the experience.
