What should I expect in Rosarito, Mexico?

I recently got invited to go to Rosarito for a couple of days. I have never ever been to Mexico before. What should I expect? How should I dress? We have plans to go to the club "Papas & Beer". What is the dress code? What shoes should I wear (heels, flip-flops, etc)

Go for comfort. Mexico is VERY informal. Especially a place like Papa's and Beer. I recommend tennis shoes rather than flip flops though. Bad to get you toe stubbed in flip flops.

Roger C is totally wrong! I've seen american people in Mexico going to really nice restaurants wearing flip flops and bermuda shorts, that's totally not the dress code, and mexicans are not informal at all. If you are going to a club in Mexico you better wear heels and a nice summer dress or clubwear. Avoid sandals or flip flops... please!

Yr probably going to c-fest that is if yr going this wkend. Bring cute skirts and sandals with no heel. Papa's N Beer has sand all over the floor ( so the heels will sink ). My girls and I went 2 yrs ago and had a blast. Bring yr own water and maybe even a few snacks for yr room..and plenty of cash ( small bills ).  Picture Vegas..Without all the lights and much more fun and easier on yr wallet. Have fun : )

dont expect much  rosarito is a ghost town right now.  tourism is down 90%.  i go about twice a month and i see less and less people every time i go.  just be carefull when youre down there the ratio is like 15 guys to every 1 girl.

If you are going to the clubs dress nice, i rarely see people in flip flops in papas n beer, everybody is dressed up especially the ladies
