What should I expect my first day of community college?

Question

I start classes on thursday and I really don't know what to expect. What do I bring? What does the professor expect of me? Do I need my laptop or not? Please feel free to tell me anything else you feel I should know.

As I am going to community college there are no activities or anything. =/

just bring a pen and paper and a small folder to store syllabi in.  If you know a professor has a website, check for a syllabus and print it out ahead of time.  Unless a professor tells you ahead of time, they will not expect anything more.   I wouldn't take a laptop as it would just be more to carry around.

Most professors will start off by introducing themselves, handing out a syllabus and calender, going over it, and may even lecture a little. mainly this lecture is just to make sure you are in the right class and to tell you about what you will learn.

I took a summer class at a local community college . And I am about to start at the same community college ,taking more classes. I am a bit nervous myself . I bought this silly book bag , has lots of hearts on it. I am nervous about even taking it into class. Though I really like it. Its a very school so I am really nervous. Not even sure if I should bring a book bag...

I took a summer class , right after high school . And it was kind of just like high school. There were much older students than me and I am 19. The grading was more strict , especially when came to missing days. Thankfully I made a B in the class.

If I were you just bring a note book . The teacher is just going to lecture , give you a syllabus , and talk to you about the course. I am assuming after the first day of class,  you will have a better idea of what to expect. If you have any questions , just ask the prefessor or people around you.
