  1. There is not much you can with the Bachelors degree. You can do some counseling with a Masters degree, but it takes a doctorate to open your own practice as a psychologist/psychiatrist and then you have to take a state test and pass it . . .sort of like doctors do. AS for the bachelors degree it can help you get some jobs but not any jobs specific to psychology. Many jobs require a bachelors in any field.

  2. First off....It's a B.S............science...not art.  An undergraduate degree gets you diddly.  You might be able to be a case worker, work in a group home or something along those lines.  I wouldn't expect to make over $35k a year with just a B.S.  As stated already, there are no jobs that require an undergraduate in psychology.  It's not like nursing, business or teaching degrees.  Psychology degrees are meaningless until you have AT LEAST a masters.  Then you can get your LPC and counsel.  I received my undergraduate in Psychology and it provided no help.  It's like a general studies degree......it's just a degree with nothing special that's going to give you an edge.  If you plan to play in the psychology field, get your masters at least.  If not, I would change my major of psychology to my minor and find something else that is more beneficial.  Sociology is even better.  At least case workers, DHS reps, etc need a sociology degree.  Nobody "needs" a psychology degree.

  3. Yes, it is a growing field.  You can open ur own practice, work at a hospital, health center, health insurace co., even schools.  Good Luck!  You are in a very exciting field :D
