What should I feed a wild turtle i found on the side of the road?

i found a turtle, what should i feed him. i dont want him to starve but should i let him go?

if i were you i would put him back where you found him.  but away from the road.

please let the turtle go.  the turtle isn't going to starve.  It knows how to take care of itself and has been doing so without your help all of its life.  Thank you.

Just put him back where you found it.  Depending on where you found it and what species it is it could possibly be illegal for you to keep it.
