What should I feed it?

I found a little bird outside in my backyard it was on the pavement when I found it. It's been there standing in the same spot for about 3 hours now and I think the mom must have got lost or left it. What should I feed it because I don't want it to starve it doesn't even move when I get close to it.

I have saved a couple wild birds with watered bread and hand feeding formula for birds.

Ok first off, it is going to need water first. A bird will dehydrate very quickly, especially if it is that young. Ok try seeing if she can drink water on her own, which she probably wont. So what you will need is a syringe for feeding and some water or pedialyte in the children's section of Wal-Mart or almost any other store. Give her a little bit of that in the syringe. Also a great food sourse for birds is plain white rice, cook it until it's kinda gummy and then feed with syringe.Ok next this is a wild bird so you can go to your local pet shop and get like mil worms or just regular worms, they will need to be really mashed up well, it's gross but it will help. Use the syringe to drip into her mouth, slowly as not to choke her, and only a little bit at a time. I hope this helps, i use to raise birds of all kinds.

Hmm, hard to say what to do. It could be over-heated if it is breathing hard. It probably wouldn't be worth trying to feed it. All you would do is scare it and it wouldn't probably eat anyway. You could either move it to a shady spot, put it in a container and cover it with a towel to bring into a wildlife clinic, or leave it. I would suggest bringing it to a clinic. Otherwise, it could die. =/

aw poor birdie! you should wait another couple hours then call an animal rescue center. they'll probably tell u to put him in a box until they arrive. but don't feed it unless the rescue says to. if they want to release him back into the "wild" (probably someones backyard) then u don't want it dependent on humans. birds generally only eat like once a day, so he probably ate already.
