I can only spend about $50, and her parents say that she likes books and movies.

  1. I was going to say books before I read the rest of your question.  I like to give a kid's book with a stuffed animal that matches the main character in the storybook.

  2. i agree with.., uhh, i forgot her name, but anyways, leapster sounds like the perfect thing for this three year old :)

  3. Anything princess!!!

  4. Disney movies are always a great gift!

    -The Little Mermaid

    -Alice In Wonderland

    -Alladin

    -Anastasia

    -101 Dalmations

Those are a few of my favorites from when I was a kid. Good luck!

  5. Something to do with a Princess!

  6. dress up set

    good luck!

  7. like a dress up set, what ever you do--- don't DONT get anything hannah montana, you will really ruin everything if you do.

  8. Books

    Movies

    Dolls or stuffed animals

    a CD of children's music

  9. Fifty dollars! That is a ton of money to spend on a three year old. If you are only interested in impressing the parents, get a leapster or some other toy that kids find interesting for about 20 minutes. (You can tell it will be boring if the play is very prescribed)

IF you want to please the kid, it will be much easier! Kids that age love dolls- you could buy a doll stroller (the umbrella style is just as good as the expensive one) or a bunch of playdoh (a kit that comes with cookie cutters is fun)

My little kids love the "little people" trucks and vehicles. My son has the bus and my daughter has the purple van. THey love them. THey also love the big big big plastic dump trucks I got at target for 15 dollars. Those trucks go everywhere with us- to the park, to bed, hiking Benjamin even talked me into bringing it into home depots garden center once!

  10. I have 4 kids, and we have a ton of movies now that they no longer watch. The movies that survived are slowly being given away to friends and family. Also, I have had 3 VCR's, because of kids jamming movies and legos into the slots.

I would choose books instead. I would stay clear of character books because kids change their minds so quickly. (My daughter went from Barbie to Bratz to Littlest Pet Shop in less than a year.) I used to work in a preschool. The most popular books were pop-ups, lift-the-flap, dinosaurs, and ones that made sounds. By now she has an interest in something-horses, ballerinas, baseball, rocks...Find out what she does during the day. What does she play with the most? This will give you a clue what she likes.
