What should I get and where could I get it?

Ok so I am a big one tree hill fan and well to get to the point I wont be home when the show starts because I will be in night class. So what can I buy that is cheap and will let me record the show while I am in class so I can watch it when I get home and also let me record other shows. Help please the premiere starts September 1 and I want to see if I will have enough money after I pay for my classes and books.
