I am 14, have dirty blonde hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. I am going to be in grade 9 this September. I would like to buy some makeup but am unsure what is necessary.

I always wear mascara and sometimes a little bit of foundation. I usually go got a mocha coloured eyeshadow/ or a silver/brown.

I am thinking about buying an eyelash curler. Any ideas??

I don't really wear any lip gloss, it isn't needed.

Please tell me what your thoughts are and what I should buy because I am going out to get it soon!!

Thanks !

  2. Just get a revlon eyelash curler the amount of makeup is fine for a 9th grader

  3. eyelash curlers are a must when wearing mascara. they help make them look fuller. and about the makeup. for me 9th grade was when i started to experiment with all kinds of make up to see what did fit my skin and what colors went best. So it all depends on how it comes out to look on your face.

    this isn't a gloss, it's a natural moisturzing tint with spf....love it!

    hope i hlpd ;]

  6. you should buy some covergirl eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow, lipgloss, and an eyelash curler :]

  7. I'm also 14 and going into high school too. Anyways i'm going to MAC to get an everyday routine (lucky i got a good job this summer). I'd go au natural during the the day but that depends on your style.

Also, hit up Sephora, it's like a playground for makeup lovers. If you don't want to splurg on makeup, go to a drugstore like Rite Aid or CVS and look into Maybelline, Cover Girl, Revlon, or Rimmel London.

Have fun with it and good luck in High School!

  8. Mascara: classic black or brown if black looks to harsh with your fair complexion.

Foundation: maybelline mineral power is great. Get the foundation powder in the lightest or second lightest and the finishing mineral veil, and a big, fat, fluffy brush to buff it on. If you don't know how to do it there are instructional videos on YouTube.

Eyeshadow: maybe a liquid eyeliner in grey/silver? No reason to be heavy handed though.

I find with today's mascaras that an eyelash curler is not necessary but YMMV.

I might go with some sheer lipcolor to balance out the colors in either a light brick red or brownish-pink.
