What should I get for my friend on his birthday?

My friend is turning 15 on his birthday and I don't know what to get him.

He loves playing basketball and is about 5'5''.

He loves to hang out with his friends and has a hot girl friend.

(and I am jealous, lol)

And I want to get him something real nice, me being his best friend.

But something below $50. I am broke.

Help!!!!

I would get him a gift certificate at a sporting goods store.  He could then buy a T-shirt with his favorite team on it, or perhaps a new basketball.  It's hard to buy for guys, but I don't think you can go wrong with a gift certificate.

And to make the gift more interesting, you can wrap it up in a big, decorated box.
