Okay, my mom is taking me shopping today for school supplies, but I don't have a list from my school for what I need. What do you think I need? I'm going into 9th grade, so I'm kinda clueless about what I'm going to need for high school. Thanks!

  1. just get the basic stuff now (like pencil, paper, folders, ect.) when you go to school your teachers will tell you other items you need for their class. i normally shop for school supplies a few days after school has already started cuz you never know what a teacher wants you to have for their class!

    hope this helped!

  2. Definitely get a calculator, a backpack, pencils, pens.  pretty much the normal but CALCULATOR is the biggest thing

  3. Well,I'm a sophomore but for the first day of 9th grade, you really don't need anything besides a folder or pencils, you won't do much in the first day of 9th grade. They give you the papers with what you'll need the rest of the year.

    :D

  4. look on the school website they might have the list

  5. Pop Princess,

By now, at this point in your academic career, you should know what works best for you. Do you like notebooks that have 5 subject dividers or do you prefer using 5 different notebooks for each class?? How do you remember your homework assignments; do you use a little notepad or do you use an agenda book?? Do you prefer writing with pens or pencils, or a combination of both? You should really shop for what you truly need and not what others suggest. Perhaps if you're taking a language, you should invest in a little pocket-sized translation dictionary. Any additional and obscure supplies you can get once school starts (for example, your math teacher might require you to purchase a certain kind of calculator or to buy a protractor). Bottom line, stick to the basics and stick with what works for you.

  6. It's just the basics.  The teachers will pass out course requirements on your first day, so don't spend a lot of money now.  Buy yourself a nice backpack and three-ring binder with plenty of dividers, some notebook paper and your favorite pencils.  Buy a graphing calculator if you can afford it, but a scientific one if you can't.  Have white-out, a hole puncher, and a small stapler.

High school will be so much fun once you get over the whole intimidation thing.  Join as many activities as you can--that will not only make it easy for you to make lots of friends but it will look good on your college applications.
