I know absolutely nothing about cars. But I can describe the car and my situation.

Well, it's a Ford Corsica. I'm getting it from my step dad in October for my 16th birthday when he buys a truck. He bought it about 4 or 5 years ago for about $900-1000 just for a work car. (Truck-driver) Anyways, I'm getting it for free. The seats are a bit slashed up, the radio doesn't work. The tired could be 10 years old for all I know. All I know is he keeps the oil changed. And also, for all I know it has like 4,000,000,000 miles on it. It's a very old module if you haven't guessed. What parts would you recommend getting for it? What should I do in oreder to prevent it from braking down? Thanks.

  1. First of all a Corsica is a Chevrolet, not a Ford.  Second, those cars degraded pretty quickly, so it is very hard telling what you will need - plus we need a few more details.  For instance, does the car smoke, either just on start-up or while it is running?  Does the starter drag?  Do you hear a clunking noise while turning corners?  Does the transaxle go through the gears easily, or does it hesitate?  These are a few of the questions any mechanic would seek to answer.

  2. ok im a girl and no about cars .. ok well lemme just  tell you dis .. ford is an american car and american cars are a piece of shhh... so y  not just get a new car and a better car nnoo ford ... get like a bmw or hondaa.... dats better  just get a newer car for dat trashed car

  3. corsica is a gm car and they were cheap from day 1.before you start putting money into it, you better look at the body, especially under where the seats are bolted up to, that,s where they go bad at.
