  1. A bubble lawn mower!  The best!!

  2. One of those baby activity centers that has the balls they can drop in different holes and make the lights and music go, or the table thing they can pull up on and spin the balls and make the lights and sounds go.  They love that kind of thing at that age, even after they start to walk, plus you can use it to help teach them colors and shapes.  But to tell you the truth, he will be more interested in the boxes and wrappings than the present!

  3. Something that he can keep when he is older, look at and think about his 1st birthday. Something special. Maybe like a blanket or a stuffed animal or something like that. If you want to be more original, get him something that has sentimental value and/or is special to your family. You said he is active and observant, maybe take him to like a sporting event. Just some ideas, hope it helped!!!

  4. A toy he can push! helps with walking and coordination.

  5. a light up scooter or a baby pool.  Maybe even sign him up for gymboree classes!

  6. I suggest a fisher-price riding toy that lights up.  That is what I got my daughter and my godson for their first.

  7. You should look into getting him a little bike/scooter thingy.  The one i got for all my kids (3 of em!!) had a seat that lifted up so they could put things inside in.  They were able to ride it or push it and that is how my son leaned to walk.  (Hes now 10!).  You could also look into getting him some little peoples playhouses.  (gee i hope they still make them...?), as they are good for fine motor skills.  Hope this helped!  Good luck and God bless the little one!
