Question:

What should I get my friend for her 18th birthday? Clothes, rubber duckies, or something else?

My friend's 18th birthday party is Sept. 6th. I don't want to ask her what she wants (so she isn't expecting something in-case I can't get her it). I'll tell a little about her:

Shes really tall

Shes on the swim team

Shes senior editor of the yearbook

Shes in our Physics class

She loves to talk

She likes to camp

She has two sisters

I was thinking of getting her a giant glow-in-the-dark rubber ducky and a few little ones but, I don't think that would be a good gift for a 18th birthday (maybe a 16th). I don't just want to give her cash or a gift card because I'd like to get her something thoughtful. Here's why I thought about getting her the rubber duckies:

Her invitation had a duck on it, she swims, and her party is Hawaii/Beach themed.

Rubber duckies are too childish, right?

I don't know what to get her. Oh, and I don't want to spend a ton of money on the gift. (I'm low on cash right now) Should I get her clothes or other beauty things? Like necklaces and such? If so, what kind should I look for? Any suggestions are really appreciated. Thanks in advance! :)

  1. You didn't list a sense  of humor, which you obviously have. Go with the ducky (and a nice gift certificate inside).
