What should I get my guy friend who is moving to Bangalore as a going away gift?

My guy friend is moving to Bangalore for a few years. I want to get him something that won't take up space in his luggage, but would be useful in Bangalore. Is there anything that I should get him here in the USA that would be difficult or expensive to get in Bangalore? He likes beer but he's bringing it himself since there's a limit.
