What should I give my brother for his wedding??

Question

My brother is getting married soon and it is his 2nd marriage. I don't know what would be appropriate to buy him. Should I give cash, gift card?? It is a small wedding only about 15 people.

He is much older than me, he's 40 and I'm 27. He gave me money for my wedding and I can't afford to spend as much as he gave me.

Any suggestions?

Are any of your friend's in a trade.

If they are::==>> ask them for scraps and advice on building something simple that he could need.

You could project it over a few weekends. Asking advice and to use their workshops.

All you would need to have is some money for a carton e.g. rums, xxxxgold or just coke zero. You could have four 6 packs for four different people.

So it could be a toilet roll holder. Or something that they will need and use everyday. You could just buy a better homes and gardens mag and make four different things out of scraps that they will give you for a 6-pack of beers.

Either give as much as you are able to (I'm sure he understands you are at different points in your life) or give him something meaningful.  Do him and his wife have any hobbies, need anything?  Did they make a gift registry?  Maybe get them some nice wine glasses if they like wine.... or beer glasses if that's their taste.

It is so wonderful to have an older brother and I think cash would be a better idea for his wedding as a gift with a cute card.  It is more appropriate and people these days prefer cash.  Just give him what you got.  He is older than you and more experienced and that is why he has giving you so much on your wedding.
