What should I have done?

So today, I was backing out slowly at an odd angle and I couldn't see a parked car so I accidentally hit it, which just made my heart drop to my stomach. Panicked I drove forward, and ran out of my car to check the other car and ran my hands repeatedly, almost obsessively over the bumper and other areas to see if there were any dents (the car was dirty so it was hard to tell with my eyes). My car didn't have any damage and the other car didn't have any damage anywhere that I could see or touch and I didn't have a pen and paper with me to write a note so I waited, but the person didn't come outside for the long time that I waited. I had somewhere to go urgently, so I left after awhile, but I felt reaaaally guilty and this lady stood outside and just stared and stared at me.

What should I have done? Since it wasn't a crash, I didn't think I should call the police. I wish I had a pen and paper so then I would have left a note.

  1. You should've asked the nosey lady for a pen and paper.

  2. u prolly just love taped that persons car, if u didnt have any damage on ur car then u more then likely didnt damage there car, if u couldnt feel or see damage then ur fine, like i said if u had damage on ur car u would of damaged the other persons car, but if u ever do that again and leave a dent or any kind of damage call the police, its always the right thing to do, and dont feel so bad, c**p happens when driving, u cant prevent it will happen even to the best drivers, i hope this helps
