What should I have to be considered as eligible for working in U.K?

I applied online for a job in U.K...there was a question asked if I am eligible for working in U.K currently?...since I live in Iran and don't have visa or work permit yet I answered no to the said question and there was an auto reply which denied my job application.I believe...if I find a job I can ask for work permit from the U.K embaccy...then why didn't the accept to proceed my application?

Work visas for the UK are really difficult to get. You cannot apply for one until you have a firm offer of work from a UK company. This company has to apply for the work permit on your behalf. Most companies are not willing to do this as it is an expensive and lengthy process.

All UK employment agencies do not accept people who are not eligible to work in the UK onto their books, or allow them to apply for a job through them. This is why your application was not allowed to proceed.

If you are going to try getting into the UK by applying for a work visa then you need to look on the websites of inividual companies and apply for jobs directly to them.

But the best way for you to go about working in the UK is to apply for a highly-skilled visa. This allows you to apply for the visa and then search for work. Or if you are under 30 you can apply for a working holiday visa which allows you to work for 2 years.
