What should I know about Australia and New Zealand?

I am a 16 year old American who is going to Australia and New Zealand with my school. I was wondering is there anything I should really know about both of these countries before I go. Are there any sayings I should know or any things that are common over here, but not over there? I just don't want to offend anyone!

  1. Make sure you know that they have the exact oppisite of seasons as we do, for instance, right now is there fall season. I was there last April and May, and it was great. The people are very friendly and very much like us in the USA. You will love it there.


  2. Australian here. Nope, nothing you can say will offend us. We are just too easy-going.

    You do know that Australia has perhaps the most deadliest little creatures, bugs and stuff, yes?
