What formulas should I know and what should I be expecting on this test? Basically any formulas involving percentages would be extremely helpful.

  1. Okay not a Navy specific answer here but an answer none the less.  If you are a high school graduate and honestly passed all of your high school math classes then you are in a good position to pass the math portion of the ASVAB.  Now having said that I will also say that the better you did in high school math and Science the better you will do in the Navy and more door will be opened to you.  For instance, without good math and science background you would stand little chance of getting into Nuke School let alone graduating.  There is no quick fix and no cramming for an exam.  You either know it going in or...well you take what is available.  Good luck to you in this.  Bottom line is that the higher you score on the ASVAB the greater your enlistment options and the more fields open to you.  Trying to cram for them is a waste of time, your knowledge or lack there of will catch up with you.  Even if you get one of those premier schools guaranteed to you, retention in the field is based on you being able to pass it in the first place.  Bottom Line:  The more you know when you go the better you're going to do.  Good luck to you again.
