  3. yes y not if you didn't girls might make fun of her or look at her weird

i think miley is a artist for kids specialy for little girls

she also might feel left out becuase you dont let her ALOT

of girls talk about listen to and have party cunserning myley or hanna montanna

  4. i geuss. i dont like her but thats me. shes not that bad

  5. You need to ask her what she wants to listen to and then listen to those songs yourself. You will be surprised by what you hear. Miley is nice... I enjoy her music and I am 24. Just watch and if she gives you any grief you tell her that it isn't age appropriate. Nickelback's song Rockstar is a prime example... look up the lyrics to that one and see if you want her singing that! Good Luck!!

  6. You should let her listen to whatever!!!!!  She will be listening to it elsewhere and you putting restrictions on her will only make it more tempting.

Unless you can control all the airwaves, internet, all the school's ipods and all her friends, your fighting a losing battle with this one.

Most kids hear the words, but don't really care what they mean.  They usually like the music because of the beat and that it's the "in" thing.

  7. Miley's songs will be fine. They are for her age group and don't have bad words. Also maybe songs by-

    Aly & AJ

    Rihanna

    Taylor Swift

    Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana

    Hope it helps!

  8. YOU are your child's parent...it is YOUR decision.

  9. aly and aj

    high school musical soundtrack

ironically, i would NOT let them listen to kidbop or whatever it's called.  they don't sensor these songs, just have kids sing them.  i knew when they had them singing uncle kraker's follow me... i mean, i know the kids probably have no idea what the song's about and there's no cursing but still.

but yeah, you want them to be able to hang with their peers.

i hear taylor swift is like this generation's leanne rhymes.  country but family friendly.  i don't know, i don't listen to her songs but you can try her out.

now if you want quality music, i'd make them listen to the classics.

*edit:  kidbops do take out all the cursing though.  so try it for yourself.

  10. Any other suggestions? How about the entirety of music for the past 500 years?

There is no law which says that kids are only allowed to listen to music which was released in the past 6 months. Widen her experiences a bit. How about some Queen? Mozart? the Beatles? Teach your daughter to make up her OWN mind about what music she likes, instead of turning her into a sheep who can only like the lastest hit.

  11. Miley Cyrus

    Jonas Brothers

    High school musical

    Vanessa Hudgens

This is what my 9 year old niece listens to all the time.

  12. Miley, yes.. Pussycat Dolls, no.

  13. As long as there's no swearing, or nothing that you consider inappropriate in the music, why not let her listen to whatever she wants?Classical music sometimes, definitely, but also classic rock - for example, I wish my first introduction to most of the Beatles' music had not been Across the Universe (not that there was anything wrong with the movie, but that fact that I was old enough to get into an R-rated movie and was the only person there not singing/lip-syncing along... I felt like I missed out), and that I had heard classic rock songs before playing Guitar Hero, and so on.

  14. Miley (and Hannah Montana) are good choices. High School Musical soundtrack songs are friendly. And Taylor Swift. These all are very nine-year-old appropriate.

  15. Follow this link to Radio Disney artists. They are all age appropriate songs that are mainstream as well so you know that the other kids are probably listening too:

But, Miley is fine...annoying to anyone over 15, but fine
