Sold my clubs 2 years ago now getting back into it. I would have need knew clubs anyways because I had those fitted and I would have grown out of them. and they were a mix and match set.

What are three things I Should know and/or look for in a new set?

  1. Something that is forgiving, something that will conceal a mishit, and something that will get suitable distance.  Depending on your handicap, you may want to get a game improvement iron like a Mizuno MX-25, Cleveland CG Gold, or a Ping G10.  As far as driver, check out the Ping G10 or the Nike Sasquatch Sumo 5000.

  2. A forgiving set of irons , good pop in driver, good large sweet sport , good irons

just look up the clubs you want and at some stores like Dickssportinggoods they have a room where u cant use any club you want and it has some virtual course that lets you see where it goes

  3. Apparently you are taller and older and want to get back in the game. If you are mature( growth wise) I would suggest that you find who is the best club fitting pro in the area, have him fit you with clubs that have the proper feel, have the proper shaft for your swing speed, the proper lie angle for your height or what you may prefer in a lie angle , a grip size which fits the size of your hand and a club head whose proper weight gives you the feel that it swings from the end of the shaft .
