I have a fairly large basement. Tile floors, I want to use my computer/iPod, my HDTV, Xbox 360 and Verizon Cable box, and I want to have decent sound quality, but it's not the end of the world if it's not perfect. I want more sound for less cost, and I am a music addict - so I need a good subwoofer too. What set up works best, and what should I look for when going to the store in terms of speaker quality, brand name and product features.

  1. Check this one out. It is a Denon so it is good quality and it comes with Boston Acoustic speakers which are pretty good too. Right now its on sale 500 bucks off its regular price! A $1000 system for $500. It should give you what your looking for.

  2. Great find Scott R.

And with the money left over by buying the stereo Scott mentioned, you could spend the extra $500 on a really nice powered subwoofer to upgrade the stereo's subwoofer.
