Question:

What should I make my website about?

I have a severe case of writer's block. I'd really like to start an active website, but I can't think of anything that hasn't really been overly done. My website is trickstertime.com. I'd also like it to relate to the site name. Any ideas?

  1. What do you like doing? Any hobbies? I think that if you make a website about your hobbies, you'll find its much more fun to program, and keep active if your into it.

  2. Have a bunch of videos of people doing bizarre tricks in various categories. I would go to HotScripts.com to find a YouTube clone as your platform for hosting the videos.

  3. Designing a website for the purpose of designing a website is the worst idea you can have.  No wonder you have writer's block.

In view of the numerous blogs nobody reads, forums nobody visits and other ego-trips on the net, clogging the web with ads and unwanted "personal infos", my advise is to stay away, unless you have a REAL message to pass on or a REAL business to promote.

You say: "and ACTIVE website".  I guess you want a lot of visitors.  This means INTERESTING CONTENTS.  Don't talk about YOU: nobody cares (whether you like it or not).  Talk about your visitor! (everybody likes other to talk about them!)
