What should I name my Australian breed horse?

I just got an Australian breed horse for my birthday and I have no clue what to name it. It is a show horse and it will be trained to be in many comepetions.I was thinking about naming it Stardust. It is a Palomino, which a tanish color.

Stardust is fine, but what is it's current name?

I've always heard it's bad luck to change a horse's name, and if it's a show horse I'm sure it has a name.

And I think the majority of us on the "horses" forum know what a Palomino is. Not so much an "Australian breed horse", is is an Australian Stock horse? or something like that?
