I don't want to use "(our last name) school". That doesn't sound professional enough to me. I don't want to include the word "academy" in the name either.

  1. Some people use some ideal that they aspire to, like "Inspiration School" or "Integrity Learning Center" or something like that.  Maybe other words like "Christian Joy", "Christian Life", "New Hope", "Victory", or some others you can think of.  If you don't like academy, then name it according to the levels of your children:  " Christian Life Elementary School", which becomes "Christian Life Middle School" and then "Christian Life High School" as your children get older.

Some choose some kind of animal or bird, like "Dove Learning Center" or "Eagle School".  Hopefully, one with some positive Biblical connotation.  Some choose a name simply because they like the word or because it reflects something about the environment where they live:  Riverstone School, Three Pines Elementary, Great Oaks School, Maple Ridge Preparatory School.

  2. You could use the name of your street, or of some landmark in your area. If you don't want to use 'academy', maybe you could use 'learning center'.  We've decided to name ours after my late father, and we'll probably use 'academy'.

  3. what do you mean it doesnt sound proffessional enough to you, we did it!

We used our lastname with Learning Center of of our city, & state
