  1. There are normally 2 formal nights, so if you want to eat in the main dining room (which has the best food) bring a suit or slacks, jacket and tie for men, or about 10 dresses if you are a lady.(Don't ask me if that makes sense, that's what my wife takes!)  Just kidding on that, but bring at least 2 nice outfits unless you don't mind wearing the same one twice. Other nights for the dining room, dockers and a sports shirt or a comfortable dress or slacks for the ladies.  If you are a casual eater, all you need to take are shorts, t-shirts and flip flops.

Bring comfortable walking shoes for shore trips, a couple of bathing suits, sunscreen, any medicine you think you might need, sunglasses, hats, a couple of books for quiet times, some cash for street vendors if you see something you can't live without.  Don't forget your PASSPORTS!! Or a picture ID and copy of Birth Certificate.

Unless you want to pay a fortune for bottled water, bring a water bottle with a filter, some ship water tastes pretty bad.  If you have room, you may want to consider bringing your own pillow, like at some motels, the pillows can be pretty pathetic.

Turn your cellphone off when you get on the ship, and stay away from the internet cafe.  Lots of ships nowdays have cellphone service while at sea.  But you are on vacation, leave the stress and gadgets behind.  Have fun, hope you enjoy your cruise.

  2. If you are flying to get to the departure port you will have a restriction on the amount of suitcases you may have, if not you can bring as much as you want to be responsible for. Keep in mind the room are small in comparison to your home or a hotel room and have limited storage space. However there will be at least two closets and four to five full sized drawers. So for a week you should be fine. At this time of year it will be hot in the Caribbean, so unless you are from Texas-Arizona part of the country you will want to bring light clothing. When at sea it can get cool at night so you might also want a light sweater. (They also keep the air conditioners on high so inside it can be cold) Bring something waterproof, like a windbreaker, in case it rains. Other than that, if you plan to eat in the dining room you will need business casual and something for the two formal diners that you will have on a seven day cruise. The remainder of the time shorts will do. Bring a couple of bathing suits because you will find you wear them a lot, both on and off the ship. Many of the excursions involve the beach and on the boat you will either sunbathe or lounge around the pool. Keep in mind, you're on vacation, if you forget something buy it either on board (they have a little mall) or when in port) Don't worry about it and just enjoy your vacation.

  3. Light clothing, a couple of sweaters (in case), a bathing suit, sunscreen, and soap (sometimes their's sucks).

  4. light clothes, semi formal clothes for dinner, shoes flip flops, bathing suit, 2 suitcases thats it

  5. Don't overpack on shoes!  Get some sandals that match all your outfits, athletic shoes if you work out, and then dress shoes that match all of your formal outfits.  Bring 4 pairs of pants or shorts, and then bring enough shirts for each day.  If you are planning on buying souvenir shirts, include that in your wardrobe and pack less shirts.  The cruising diva website has a lot of helpful packing tips.
