What should I put in my fish tank?

I have a 10 gallon fresh water fish tank I am wondering what a good inexpensive fish that is really cool? Do you have any suggestions?

  1. There is a wide variety that you can choose from - mollies, tetras, guppies, danios, gourami, swordtail. This may at first seem like just a few but there are kinds within these types - serpae tetras, black skirt tetras, blue neon tetras, black neon tetras, and more.

    Rule of thumb is inches of adult fish per gallon. You have a ten gallon that is ten inches of adult sized fish, so pay attentin to what size the fish can get.


  2. barbs, livebearers, tetras. pretty much most community fish

  3. All tropical fish are acceptable, but if you get community you can have them peacefully together, you should get a catfish to help clean the bottom, too.

  4. Guppies, Mollies are very cool because they have live babies.
