I had training through my job. A professor from a college came to my workplace and gave everyone who passed the written exam a certificate at the end of the training and noted on the certificate that they passed the written exam. What do I put on my resume? The college she teaches at or what? Then I am going to put the month and year I got the certificate which I think means I was certified in the area. example:

Harvard University

CPR Certified 7/2007

What do you think?

  1. It depends on the type of training and what position you're applying for. Only use it if it's a true certification or related to the job.

If you feel it does pertain, then use the same format you would as a college or continuing education.

  2. I would put the date you were certified and the certification name (like you have listed in your question) but I wouldn't put the college she teaches at -- it's unclear what you mean (at least in your example).  Just stick with the certification, then during the interview you can have something to go into detail about.

    "I see you're CPR certified."

"Yes, Professor So-And-So from Harvard University taught a CPR certification class....."

    3. Nothing you are bad at

    4. NOTHING YOU ARE BAD AT

    5. Sexual conquests

    6. How to collect underwear

    7. Music library

    9001. lol dongs

OH GOD ITS OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...

  5. Put what you had under the highlights and certifications area on your resume.

  6. So that it's easily understood by anyone who reads it, you should indicate  that it was a co-operative program or course through the College and whatever the business is.  You are then including both, so that your credentials can be checked and you can also use the business as a work reference.

Sounds like a win-win to me, especially if you are new to the workforce.
