I'm interested in getting recruited for volleyball and I'm going to start e-mailing coaches. What should I say in the e-mail? I'm only a sophomore. Can someone give me a sample e-mail like of what I should say?

  1. Start with a general statement telling that you want to be considered as a volleyball player for their program.

    Give all of your information.

Name, address, phone numbers, email addresses for your general information.

Put your high school information including the contact info for your coach.  Include your position and your GPA and any awards.

Put your club info including the club director and your coach contact info.  Include your position and any awards.

After all that, tell them why you want to go to school there.  Does the school have your major?  Is the team always winning?  Does your best friend go there?

You could save some trouble.  Many colleges actually have web sites with recruiting forms for the info they want.
