What should I say in my appeal's letter to financial aid: I work full time and became burnt out?

  1. That is What I would Say!!! Why can't you. You might add that with Financial Aid you can Cut Back the Work schedule and Make your Classes, as well as, do your Homework for School. It is All about TIME and AFFORDABILITY.


  2. Try to be as honest and forthright as possible. Having sat on appeals committees, I can tell you they will be left cold by excuses and anything even close to whining. The best thing to do is to outline what went wrong, and what you are going to do to correct the problem in the future, or, if it was a one-time event, what you might to do avoid something like that in the future.

  3. instead of saying how you became burnt out you should state what you are doing to correct what happened in pervious semesters.  If your advisor sees that there is a continuing problem in not being able to balance your work life with your school life, then they might not believe you are in a position to take your academic work serioulsy.  You need to show them that you are activity seeking a more responisble role in your career.
