  1. Mataranka Hot Springs, Pine Creek

  2. depending on the of time year you can kayak down the main st if you're planning on kayaking down the river be careful of the salties.lots of four wheel drive tracks to explore [careful of snakes] .mataranka, cutta cutta caves, kakadu, edith falls, and litchfield national park [wongi falls, florence falls, buley rock pools, magnetic termite mounds, and the lost city ]hot springs and heaps of good fishing and drinking. you'll love it .

  3. the katherine gorge ( nitmilk national park ) see all 13 gorges

    cutta cutta caves nature park

    katherine hot springs

  4. There is also a really nice several day trek near the gorge.

Don't miss Edith Falls just north of Katherine.

Cutta Cutta caves to the south are worth a look if you have the time but not as spectacular as Chillagoe caves in QLD or Janolan caves in NSW.

If you have enough time after Katherine Gorge it is not far to continue up to Kakadu national park - where there is a heap more things to do.
