What should I see in Ireland??

I will be visiting Ireland for three - four weeks. Which cities / towns do you recommend? What are the best tourist attractions and best-kept-secret attractions here. Is hitchiking safe here??

Hitchhiking is very safe there. You should go to Kilmanen jail there which is in Dublin.

Don't hitch hike, no where in this world is safe. I'd recommend going to Dublin, Limerick, Cork, Galway, Derry and Belfast. Make sure and go to the Giants Causeway, you could stay in Portstewart. Have fun and always remember You'll never bet the Irish!!!!!

the national history museum trim castle new-grange you can climb Crow Patrick the mountain theres lots of tourist attractions i don't know them all but the ones in the countryside are the best or outside the capital Cork and Galway are good places to go so is Dublin but Dublin is mostly Dublin Castle kilmanim jail and the history between Ireland and England

I am sure other people will have good things to throw out there but Ireland has more to do with their people and culture than strong sights. Cliffs of Moher, several castles and monasteries, Trinity University are all good places. I enjoyed the green country, pubs in Galway, people in Dingle Peninsula (speak Gaelic), a few castles, Limerick (just because its appearance was authentically Irish in the sense of Angela's Ashes), pub food (homely but definitely not culinary feats), and walking around in Dublin.
