What should I serve at a neighborhood meeting?

I live in tornado alley and have been trying for about a year to get a tornado siren installed near my neighborhood. Finally, the county representatives agreed to put one in. Tonight, the sheriff and some neighbors are meeting at my home at 6:30 to discuss where to put the siren. This will be a casual meeting. Although it's technically dinner time, I'm not serving dinner. What should I offer for food and drinks?

in Oz we would serve a platter with a variety of cheeses, crackers, salami meats, cocktail onions,carrot and celery sticks etc. Sandwiches sliced in to 4 (triangles) little frankfurters with sauce, party pies and sausage rolls, some cake,sml meatballs, dip and crackers etc...

You could have Like a snack table with cookies and milk or tea

- coctail meatballs

- natcho's and dip or cheese

maybe some simple snack foods that every1 would like. Chips, maybe some nice veges and dip??

something light and quick, make a cold veggie pizza, cut in in little squares. get like two different dips with crackers or some type of chips. Have coffee, and soda (remember to have diet soda too)
