  1. Maybe you could do a backyard BBQ or something a little smaller like a table set up with finger foods and snack items, or maybe your could do a pot luck with everyone deciding to bring a dish. Congrats on your engagement!

  2. A housewarming party is fine, but you do NOT give yourself a shower!  ...  A buffet table with deli platters, condiments & rolls;  an assortment of salads (green, fruit, potato, pasta);  veggie/dip platters;  desserts

  3. for a house warming its a good idea to do 3-7 types of hors d'oeuvre have 1 or 2 with vegetable one can be simple just a vegetable platter and the other one you can do a spinach artichoke dip its really easy to make just get choped spinach sourcream mayo and knorrs vegetable soup mix(without the broth) and artichoke hearts then just mix together and chill then serve with some slices of french bread. You can aslso take a baguette and but a thin slice of fresh mozzerella cheese with a thin slice of tomato and basil then sprinkle on some pepper and olive oil and put in the oven fr about 6-10 minutes on 350 and serve warm. you can also make a homemade pizza that only takes a couple of bites just take a pizza dough that you can get at your supermarket bakery then roll it our to a rectangle then the bottom layer mozzerella shredded cheese then persuito slices then baby spinach leaves then more mozzerella then roll the dough from one end to another then bake for about 15 minutes on 375 if the dough you rolled out is thin if not probably 5-8 minutes more. then slice and serve. you can also serve homemade meatballs with some marinara sauce anything with meat is simple to serve as hors d'euvre. for desert something simple is fruit kabobs just take your favorite fruits watermelon honey dew cantelope strawberry just make sure its big enoguht to not slip or break of the skewer. you can also make chocolate cover strawberrys or some thing cute would be cupcakes just simply decrotae then and display them on a cupcake tier.  i hope this helped.
