    Then mix up some of your own fry sauce with Mayo and ketchup. Usually more mayo than ketchup... just enough ketchup to turn it pink.

Corn on the cob.  Celery & carrot sticks, radishes, other raw veggies you like.  Chips.  Slices of watermelon or other seasonal melons.  Apples and peanut butter.  Popcorn.  Guacamole & chips.  You want to keep most of your food "finger food" that can be eaten with your fingers (no need for a fork or spoon).  And you want stuff that doesn't have to be hot to taste good (fries can get kind of bad when they get cold).  And you don't want to have to spend too much time cooking--the corn can be boiling while your burgers are cooking (and then you don't have to do any more cooking all night).

  6. HERB-ROASTED NEW POTATOES

    Yield: 6 Servings

    1 lb 14 oz small red potatoes,

    .unpeeled (or russets)

    1/4 c Chopped fresh basil or 1 tsp

    .dried basil

    1 tb Chopped fresh oregano or 1

    .tsp dried

    1 tb Olive oil

    1/2 ts Salt

    1/4 ts Black pepper

    2 1/4 oz Grated parmesan cheese

    1. Preheat oven to 425F. Cut the potatoes into 6-8 wedges each.

    2. In a large bowl, combine the basil, oregano,oil,salt and pepper.

    Add the potatoes and toss to combine.

    3. Place the potatoes on a nonstick baking sheet and sprinkle with

    parmesan cheese.

    4. Bake for 20-25 minutes of until tender and golden brown.

    VARIATION: Instead of red potatoes, use small Yukon Gold or Finnish

    Yellow potatoes, both of which have yellow flesh. Substitute 2 t.

    chopped dried rosemary for the basil and oregano.

    Cajun Fries

    Prep Time: 15 minutes

    Cook Time: 45 minutes

    Servings: 6



    Ingredients

    -  3 pounds potatoes peeled and cut into 1/2-inch wedges

    -  Vegetable spray

    -  1 HORMEL® Real Bacon Bits (3-ounce) jar

    -  2 teaspoons garlic powder

    -  1 teaspoon onion salt

    -  1/2 teaspoon red pepper

    -  1/4 teaspoon black pepper

    -  1/8 teaspoon thyme



    Directions

    Coat potatoes with vegetable spray. Combine remaining ingredients in large plastic bag. Add potatoes to bag and shake to coat. Arrange potatoes in single layer on jellyroll pan coated with vegetable spray. Bake at 400°for 35 minutes or until tender, turning once.



    Cheesy Chili Fries recipe

    Serves 8.

    32 ounces French fried potatoes

    1 (15 ounce) can chili, heated as directed on label

    1 cup Cheez Whiz Cheese Dip

    Prepare French fries as directed on package. Arrange fries on large serving platter. Pour hot chili over fries. Microwave Cheez Whiz as directed on label. Pour Cheez Whiz over chili.

    Try serving with crisp veggie dippers such as carrots, cucumber slices, celery and broccoli florets with Ranch Dressing as a dip

    OREO PIZZA



    30 OREO, divided

    1 pkg fudgy brownie mix

    1/2 cup vegetable oil

    1/4 cup water

    2 eggs

    1 1/2 cup mini marshmallows

    1/3 cup m& m



    Pre heat oven to 350

    Put 22 cookies in bag and crush

    Cut remaining cookies in to small pieces

    Prepare brownie mix using oil, water, and eggs

    Stir in crushed cookies



    Pour into sprayed pizza pan

    Bake 18- 20 min

    Sprinkle top with marshmallows

    Return to oven 1- 2 min

    Remove pan from oven

    Sprinkle cookie pieces and M&M over top



    I like to  melt a small amount of chcoclate and or vanilla frosting in the microwave.

    Take a fork and drizzle the frostings over the top the of the pizza

  7. How about a different chips & dips. These can also be snacked on through the evening..

  8. fruit is good. might be kind of expensive. you can also try popcorn, rice crispy treats. they are real easy to make. i like antipasto dishes. ham, cheese, crackers, olives, carrots, celery, anything you want.
