What should I study at college to become a zoologist?

Question

I know I have to study zoology at university, but I start college in september and was wondering what would be the most helpful subjects to help me get there. I'm gonna pick 3...I'm thinking Biology, Business & I'm not sure what else

Here's a full list of whats available (worth mentioning)

Chemistry

Physics

General Studies

ICT

Psychology

Sociology

Spanish

Economics

Please help, any advice is appreciated

Go with the science based subjects, but the business might be useful in the future, so if i were you I'd pick Biology, Business and Chemistry (chem will be really useful for your degree!)

you are going to the wrong school to be a zoologist!  You need a school that offers a degree in zoology.  A biology degree won't get you to be a zoologist, it gets you to be a biologist.  Business will do nothing for you.  A business degree or business courses won't prepare you to be a zoologist.

If you are serious about zoology, suggest you take general courses that can transfer to a university that actually gets you a degree in zoology...../

Looking at UCAS, here are some examples of which A levels universities are asking for (although I advise you to go to www.ucas.com and see for yourself).

University of Aberdeen: A minimum of 120 points from two science, technology or mathematics subjects.

Anglia Ruskin University: Biology

Bangor University: Biology and another science subject

University of Birmingham: Biology/Human Biology plus one from Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Geography, Geology, Psychology or Sports Science.

University of Bristol: At least two and preferably three science/mathematical subjects including Biology

And so on. It doesn't look like business would be a very good idea to me. Go to the UCAS website and do a course search, look at what the universities are asking for, as it does seem to vary quite a bit.

not sure about business. you should choose chemistry, biology and physics.

do not choose general studies because that is worthless for university.
