  1. For the Plane: Travel Size items, pack light, earplugs.

Clothes: Look up the weather before you go and always be prepared for weather changes.

Look up a little about restaurants/hotels in the area and learn a little history, it won't hurt. Maybe some sights that you want to go see. Perhaps ask the hotel what their recommendations for restaurants are on your budget. Work on just a little Spanish, there are plenty of English-speakers, but it doesn't hurt to know some

Tu vas a ir a Espana (no accents)

You are going to go to Spain.

  2. take flirty skirts!

    para bailar flamenco!!

and some good high heels too

    ;]

  3. Expect anything in April. It could be really very warm, but it could also be very unsettled and rather cool. The last two Springs in Spain have been rather inclement. Bearing that in mind I'd bring light clothes for the day and something warm for the evening. You could bring light rain wear just to be on the safe side.

Spain is a great country to visit. So much history and so many beautiful places to see and visit.

Whilst in Barcelona, make sure you take a coach trip to the Monastery at Montserrat. It is an awesome day out. Try and take the funicular to the top, it is better than the cable car or the drive up there.. Make sure you have plenty of room on your camera, you will need it.

  4. Vas en abril?  toma tu vestido flamenco!  got to the Fair in Sevilla!  Ã‚¡Go flamenco!  Ã‚¡Drink sherry!  Ã‚¡Cachondeo!

Seriously, if you are going during the Feria, anyway...

light clothes.  It will be warm, especially in the South.  Spain is at its most beautiful in March, April, May, not too hot, yet!

Bring appliances that are dual voltage and plug adaptors...if you can.  If you need a cell phone, make sure you have capability for Spain/Europe...multi band + sim card.  Don´t schelp a whole lot of electronics, though...but don´t forget your camera!

passport (obviously) ticket (ditto)  make sure you have a safe place to carry such things...don´t worry about carrying money.  If you have credit cards (my dad would have allowed me to take one at your age, but only for emergencies, and I would have had to make all the payments) that is the easiest way to carry money.  You'll want about 100€ for the first day, then do everything with a debit card or credit card....do NOT use your credit card in ATM machines to get cash...the fees will kill you!  If you must do CASH, then just buy Euros...no one takes traveller's cheques any more.

Oh, and have a BLAST!  (but use common sense, okay?)

  5. if you are single you don't have to take anything (ha) but if you are accompanied make sure that person likes to party because spain that's what it's all about the french go their to have a good time.....have fun!!!!!!!!!
