What should I take to boot camp?

In a few days i'm going to be leaving for Marine Corps boot camp in PI. I don't exacly know what I should take with me other then ssn, rec. business card and birth certificate, or is that all I should take?

Don't bring anything, no pictures - not allowed, no personal sutff other than feminine hygen items, all unnecessary items you hve to ship home. All that is needed will be provided for you! Good luck!

Dont bring a lot more than necessities.  Just remember while at boot camp everything that you need they will give you, or they will ask you to bring.  They will make you lock up anything that isnt required for boot camp (ie ipods, civilian clothes, etc.)  So dont pack heavy, do bring a few things from home, ie picture of loved ones, and MAKE SURE you have everything they tell you to bring.  Thank you in advance for your Service.  Have fun, enjoy your Marine Corps career, and Good Luck!

I am pretty sure you can have a picture, In the airforce you have a private foot-locker (they can search it), but you are allowed to keep a few small items in a space about as big as a deck of cards.  so you can keep letters (that are sent to you) and things like that.  In the Air Force, your private items you came with, I remember I took a small dufflebag, I believe they told you what size was allowable, and in our Baracks they locked them up in a small room.  SO CHECK WITH A RECRUITER different branches are obviously different, and times change as well.

do not bring anything other than  what they tell you to bring or they will give you h**l about it and take it.  do not bring any luxury items or any cell phones or anything like that

Shot records, if you dont they will give you each and everyone of them, anything you bring will basically be sent home at your expense.

Why don't you check with your recruiter, but I,m certain that's all you'll need

other than your birth cerificate and social security card theres not alot more you will need they will give you all the personal items you need (tooth brush..etc.)

Bring a little of home with you. They actually tell you what you are required to bring or call your RO.

Bring a change of clothes, thong undies, toiletries and your "feminine" supplies!

This is what my boyfriend tells all his poolees to bring...

The clothes you're wearing (something nice)

Wallet with: photo id, $20 (for food on the way to PI), social security card, recruiter's card

Piece of paper with addresses for writing home

Anything else will be taken from you when you get down to PI.
