  1. Nothing...guests are not expected to bring anything when invited over for dinner. Unless, that is, the occasion is a birthday, anniversary, etc. If you feel like you absolutely have to bring something, then bring desert or a salad (something that would still fit in with the food you are being served). Honestly though, I've been to tons of Indian dinners and all the host really wants is your company. Have fun!

  2. I am Indian.. and really I wouldn't expect anything at all. Just their gracious company, but if you do want to get something, flowers are always great. Or you can call them and ask if you can get something, that would really show ur thoughtfulness. Or if they have kids, maybe a lil toy for them. Or anything else you'd like to share...maybe chocolates etc.

    Have fun!

  3. Some fruit

  4. Flowers are always a good present to take, but it really depends on the family. How old are they? What religion to they subscribe to? What do they do for a living? Do they have children? Take these factors into consideration and feel free to get creative.
