Question:

What should I use on my acne scars?!?

I've had these scars for almost a year and a half. I don't even know why I got them. I always make it a rule to NEVER pick at my acne. I even have scars on my back, so I don't know how I got those either, because I can't even reach the places on my back to pick at them.

My skin is clear now thanks to a trip to the dermatologist and some prescriptions for menocyline and tretinoin gel (less expensive version of retin-a). But my skin still looks terrible because of the scars. They aren't like deep ice pick scars, just a little dent which isn't even noticeable unless you look really close. They are just this terrible red color and they ALWAYS show through makeup.

I have: Aloe Vera, Cocoa butter, Mederma, Tea Tree Oil, Vitamin E supplements, lemon juice etc. I've heard that all of these work, but even after months of using each one (individually) I don't even see them fading.

My dermatologist says that the tretinoin gel will help them fade, but I've been using it every night for two years and see no difference.

PLEASE HELP!! Now that my acne is gone I would like a clear complexion. :-)

  1. IF YOU WANT QUALITY THEN YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO PAY FOR IT.  TRY PROACTIVE IT WORKS GREAT FOR ME!!

  2. the best treatment is laser

  3. Try to exfoliate as much as you can, and put something with vitamin e on them, like cocoa butter.  I wouldn't put this all over your face though, because this could make your acne come back. Hang in there, they should fade with time. No matter what you use, it won't happen overnight.Congrats on the clear skin, though!
