Question:

What should I use to clean my Snooker Cue?

I've recently bought a cheap Snookers Cue from a sports shop. After a few games its no longer really smooth when taking shots. Is there something I should clean my Cue with that will help the wood glide smoother?

Thanks

Tom.

  1. yous beer towell

  2. Try some J n J baby powder grooves and fingers and not the hand.

It will surely give u a 1 Cue game.

  3. hey tom hope the snooker is going well, there are all sorts of products available to clean your cue with but if it feels like its got varnish on the cue as part of the cue making process then try smooth sandpaper first then use a good polish ie mr sheen and see how smooth it is then.

its also important to use a damp cloth during the session of play so its still smooth later on while your at the table.

    good luck ok

  4. I sand my cue down with ultra fine sandpaper then finish it off with Windex.

  5. First sand your cue with fine sand paper. then seal it with a car wax. after that always wash your hands before playing and wipe down your cue with window cleaner (windex). trust me. email me if you have questions.

  6. It sound like cheap varnish was used on the cue.

Short of using a very very fine sand paper, the only other thing you could do, is to carry a small pouch of talcum powder in your cue case.

Put some one your hand, and that should help the cue glide smoother.
