What should I use to connect my wii to my pc monitor?

I'm goin to college and I don't want to shell out the $$ for a new TV so I thought I could use my monitor which is an lcd and pretty decent sized. The box for the monitor lists the inputs as RGB Analog and DVI-D. I have the original cables that came with the wii but I also have the Psyclone component cable that has 5 plugs. How can I get the best quality?

A link would help me out a lot with whatever you're talking about. Thanks

  1. You're fortunate to have a monitor with RGB-Component Inputs, as they tend to be uncommon for PC monitors.

Since the Wii can only produce graphics up to 480p, use the component cables to hook up to your monitor, as anything else will be overkill (such as DVI-D or HDMI, both which are unsupported by the Wii).

    **EDIT**

Okay, then your only option is to use a Composite to VGA (15 pin) converter... but those can sometimes get a little pricey, and not worth the work (check out eBay for those). It's traditionally better to have a TV that has a VGA or DVI input, as well as traditional inputs, and double that as your PC monitor.
