What should I wear beneath my compression shorts for rowing?

We are supposed to wear compression shorts for rowing but that's all we wear, no shorts above so nothing gets caught in the track of the seat. When I wear something beneath the lines show. When I don't wear anything my balls show. I don't really care about my package showing but my balls showing might be weird. what should I do?

I tend to wear nothing, but i sometimes get a rash so I will where thin boxer briefs
